Prescription Resources

Prescription medications have become increasingly difficult to afford. For this reason, the Wood County Department of Job and Family Services has located a variety of prescription discount resources for people to use. We only list resources that are non-profit organizations, with no membership fees or other costs attached to them. We hope this information will be helpful.

For more information about prescription resources, you may contact the following:

  •  Click on www..ohiobestrx.org for discount drug coverage.  This is the Ohio discount program. You may call them, toll free, at 1-866-923-7879
  • Click on http://www.rx4ohio.org or phone 1-877-rx-ohio    for this state wide program that will help anyone search for less expensive ways to purchase your prescription medications.
  • Click on www.RxSave.org or phone  1-800-329-1469 to find out about this pharmacy discount program.  This program is also available through the Wood County Department of Health at www.co.wood.oh.us/healthdepartment, or by phone at 419-352-8402.
  • Click on www.seniors@rx-saver.com to learn about prescription discounts for senior citizens.  You may fax them at 713-957-0918.
  • Click on www.needymeds.com to contact another resource for patient assistance.  They will help you in the same way that Rx4Ohio does.  They may also be faxed at 419-858-7221.

Each of these sites provides information about their prescription programs, how to apply and how to access their services.

We will continue to update this list as we learn of additional resources.
