The Social Services Unit of the agency provides supportive services designed to assist persons who need emergency assistance, who need child care, and adults who who need supportive services to remain in their homes or may be at risk of abuse or neglect. We also provide intensive case management to assist OWF recipients overcome barriers to employment by helping them become self-sufficient.
The services we provide are based on income eligibility as well as need, and, are intended to increase a consumer's self-sufficiency.
Most of the Social Service programs require an application and documentation of need and financial eligibility. It is recommended that applicants call before coming in to see if an appointment is needed and to learn about the information they will need to bring with them. Information and Referrals are provided to anyone, and Adult Protective Services are provided regardless of income.
