Homemaker/Home Health Aid Services

The agency provides Homemaker services for people of all ages who who have a documented need and meet the financial and program eligibility for the service. Homemaker services  may include routine housekeeping, laundry assistance, and/or grocery shopping for incapacitated persons who live independently and have no one to assist them. This service is provided by the Family Service Aides employed by the agency.

Home Health Care Services are for citizens age 60 and older. The agency contracts with the Wood County Health Department for the service. Health Department staff provide bathing, shampooing and nail care for an incapacitated person with no one to assist them. Included in this service is the filling of medication boxes with the appropriate medications for the upcoming days or weeks.

For many elder citizens these services make it possible for them to remain in their own homes and live independently.
