Under Ohio Revised Code 329.06, the Wood County Board of Commissioners, established a county family services planning committee. The Board appointed members to participate on the Planning Committee. Members include the Director of Job and Family Services, other employees of the department, consumers of job and family services, other entities representing private for profit and private non-profit agencies.
The committee serves as an advisory body to the board of county commissioners with regard to the family and social services programs provided in the county. The committee meets quarterly to review and analyze the county department of job and family services’ implementation of the programs established under Federal, State and Local rules and regulations. The committee examines and makes those recommendations to the Wood County Board of Commissioners relating to public assistance, daycare, emergency assistance and other issues the committee considers appropriate.
